“#MySunwayStory is the epitome of the saying ‘Together Everyone Achieves More!’ Working with teams, be it in assignments or events, was an avenue for me to learn from people with different skill sets, talents and knowledge. It was also an extremely edifying experience of different people coming together to reach the best possible outcome.

My rich experience in Sunway including the pilot phase of Sunway-Lancaster University student exchange programme, Accounting and Commerce Society, Sunway Christian Fellowship and many other events enabled me to improve my people and management skills. In addition to that, our modules in class were broad, covering a range of topics not merely related to accounting and finance, but also soft skills such as communication and leadership skills amongst others.

My strong foundation at Sunway University laid the groundwork for my current position in the Research Team for Wealth Management in OCBC Bank Malaysia Berhad. My research responsibilities encompasses economics, financial markets, corporates and funds and these updates are distributed via daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly as well as ad-hoc publications.

To all current students, adaptability and willingness to learn and work is the key. I’d say, study and play hard, stretch your boundaries, make mistakes and enjoy the learning process. How fruitful or fulfilling your university life hinges on what you decide to do or aim to achieve, so, I encourage you to make the best out of it!”
