PIDM Undergraduate Scholarship Programme

Preference will be give to courses related to:

The scholarship is awarded to annually to up to 20 eligible Malaysian students and supports up to four years of local undergraduate study.

Who Can Apply

  • Malaysian citizens below 25 years old (as of 1 January 2026).
  • Students who have completed or are in the final semester of Pre-University.
  • Students who have already started an undergraduate degree may also apply.

Academic Requirements

  • SPM: Minimum 5As (including credits in Bahasa Melayu & English).
  • STPM/A-Levels: Minimum 2As; OR
  • Foundation / Matriculation / Diploma: Minimum CGPA 3.50
  • For students currently pursuing an undergraduate program: Must meet the above requirements and maintain CGPA 3.50.

Other Conditions

  • Must be a full-time student (admitted or awaiting placement) into a course related to PID's business, recognised by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), at a university in Malaysia and approved by PIDM.
  • Applicants must demonstrate an inability to pursue the course without financial assistance.
  • Not a recipient of any other scholarship or financial aid.
  • No history of scholarship termination due to disciplinary action.
  • Preference given to top universities listed in Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings ("QS") and Times Higher Education Rankings ("THE") rankings.

Important Notice

Applications will only be considered if all eligibility criteria, approved field of study, and the list of PIDM-recognised universities are met.

PIDM reserves the right to change terms and conditions or reject applications at its sole discretion. No appeal will be entertained.

  1. A requirement to provide information on income for the applicant and/or parent(s).
  2. The offer of scholarship will be subject to acceptance of the terms and conditions of a scholarship agreement with PIDM.
  3. Recipients of the scholarship award will be required to fulfil conditions as set out in the scholarship agreement including, but not limited to, maintaining a minimum 'Cumulative Grade Point Average' (CGPA) of 3.00 or achieve a minimum of 'Second Class Upper' in the final examinations.
  • Up to RM20,000 a year in course fees or the actual cost, whichever is lower.
  • Up to RM2,000 in allowances for learning aids including books, computer, stationeries and other materials per semester or up to RM4,000 per year.
  • Up to a maximum of RM9,000 allowance per year or RM750 per month.
  • There will be no bond to this scholarship and the recipients are not required to repay the amount of scholarship awarded.

Mentoring and Coaching

Our readily available pool of mentors, drawn from PIDM's own workforce as well as scholars' alumnus are available to all scholars in providing support, consistent and continuous mentoring and coaching throughout the programme. Scholars can tap and leverage on the experiences from the mentoring pool.

Internship Programme

As part of the strategic design of the programme, graduates may be offered paid internship opportunities in PIDM to apply what they have learned in an operational context (subject to a minimum 'Cumulative Grade Point Average' (CGPA) of 3.00 or a minimum of 'Second Class Upper' in the final examinations).

JPA Scholarships Program Khas Lepasan SPM

The Program Khas Lepasan SPM by JPA is a scholarship for students who scored at least 9A+ for SPM to further their studies at local institutions.

This scholarship programme covers local preparatory studies until degree level based on the guidelines and conditions prepared by JPA.

1. Pre-University/ Foundation

2. With progression into degree programmes in the following fields of study:

  1. Science

  3. Social Sciences
  4. Mathematics

  4. The mother/ father is not blacklisted by the JPA or in litigation JPA; and

JPA Scholarship – Program Khas Jepun, Korea, Perancis dan Jerman (JKPJ)

Program Khas Jepun, Korea, Perancis dan Jerman (JKPJ) is a scholarship for SPM students to pursue studies in engineering, science and technology or social science related fields in Japan, Korea, France and Germany.

Successful candidates will attend preparatory studies at Sunway College (KL) before pursuing their tertiary education in Germany.

Australian Matriculation Programme (AUSMAT)

  1. Malaysian citizen;
  2. Candidates must in good health;
  3. Sat for SPM for the first time in 2025;
  4. has not reached the age of 18 years (19 years for transition students) during the SPM exam;
  5. The mother/ father is not blacklisted by the JPA or in litigation JPA; and
  6. The applicant does not receive financial support / sponsorship of any agency of the same level of education.
  7. The grades you need are: A+/A in Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry; and A- in English and History.

MARA offers education loans in the form of convertible loans for Post Graduate levels (Master’s Degree and Doctor of Philosophy) at leading Institutions of Higher Education locally and abroad to outstanding graduates in fields that have a significant impact on national employment needs.

Specifically for post-Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree students to further their studies in Master’s and Doctoral degrees in fields and universities set by MARA.

  9. Has never been terminated by any sponsor for disciplinary action that is unlawful and has no criminal record.
  10. Free from chronic illnesses / infectious diseases / diseases that require follow-up treatment and are able to study until completion.
  11. Obtain release / deferment of service contract or repayment of loan from other sponsor bodies (except MARA) for previous study (for those applicable).
  12. Students must have completed their First Degree / Master’s Degree at the time of application.
  13. This application is open for full-time coursework or research or mix mode.
  14. MARA employees and MARA subsidiaries are not eligible to apply for this loan.
  15. Subject to the current policies and conditions in force.

  2. Applicants who are currently studying must have at least 1 year of remaining study term for Master's Degree and 2 years of PhD.
  3. Applicants who plan to study locally must obtain an offer of study from the Institutions.
  4. Applicants must not already possess the same for which they are applying.
  5. The courses applied must possess accreditation from the Public Service Department (PSD).
  6. Application is open to full time study only.

The disbursement of loan will be suspended in a particular semester due to any of the following reasons:

  1. Poor academic performance - average semester result CGPA below 3.0
  2. Deferment of studies
  3. Change of course to other programme which is not listed under MARA’s approval
  1. The loan will be terminated if a student fails to continue in the programme of study as stipulated in the loan agreement.
  2. Student’s who wish to cancel the loan throughout the study period have to complete the “Borang Pembatalan Perjanjian” available on the MARA website.
  3. When the loan is terminated, student is required to repay the loan amount taken during the duration of study.
  4. A written appeal must be submitted to MARA if the student is unable to repay the loan amount taken during the duration of study.
  5. MARA reserves the right to terminate or withdraw the loan offer at any point in time if the information is false or inaccurate.

MARA TESP 2024

  1. Once MARA has accepted all the documents including sets of agreement, tuition fees will be made directly to institutions and living allowances will be deposited into student’s Bank Islam saving account.
  2. Loan disbursement to students for the following semester will be made based on:
    1. Still pursuing studies; and
    2. Passed the examination in the previous semester with CGPA of 3.30 and above

  1. The applicant is Malay / Bumiputera and Malaysian citizen.
  2. Either the mother OR father is Malay/ Bumiputera and is a Malaysian citizen.
  3. Applicants age limit to as of 31 December 2024:-

Yayasan Dayadiri Local Private University Scholarship

    Applications submitted manually or in hard copy will not be accepted. Applicants are required to register for a user account on the YBR Application Portal before submitting their application.

    The PPBU scholarship amount is provided based on the level of study, as follows:

    • Diploma: RM11,000 per year
    • Bachelor's Degree: Up to RM12,000 per year

    The scholarship funds will be disbursed directly into the sponsored student's Bank Rakyat Savings-i Account. It is the responsibility of each sponsored student to pay the tuition fees to their respective higher education institution.

    YBR-PPBU is a Convertible Loan Based on Academic Merit, the loan repayment exemption/reduction after completion of study are based on the final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as below:

    Undergraduate Academic Requirements:

    1. Obtained the following minimum pre-university results:
      • STPM/A Level - minimum 2As
      • Unified Examination of Chinese Schools (UEC-SM3)
      • Foundation - CGPA of minimum 3.5
      • Australian TER - minimum 90.0
      • First/Second year undergraduates must have a current CGPA of at least 3.3, Upper Second-Class Honours or equivalent.
    2. Possess outstanding co-curricular achievements and leadership qualities.
    3. willing to serve an employment bond with IOI Group for a specified period upon successful completion of studies.
    4. Must not be receiving any form of scholarships from other organisations and be free of any future employment obligations.
    5. Those currently pursuing Foundation studies and Pre-Degree Programmes are not eligible to apply.

    Kuok Foundation Loan-Grant Awards

    All Undergraduate programmes accredited by MQA and completed in Malaysia.

    1. For Malaysian citizens only.
    2. Needy students who are 25 years and below.
    3. Students who have completed STPM / Pre-University / UEC / A-Level / Foundation / Local Matriculation / Diploma.
    4. Applicant should possess good academic achievements and active in co-curricular activities.
    5. Courses must be accredited by MQA, undertaken and completed in Malaysia.

    Up to RM50,000 per year

    Step 2: After submit the application online, applicants must submit the Printed Copy of the Application Forms, together with the following supporting documents to the Kuok Foundation’s office:

    • Sunway University acceptance letter
    • Sunway College (KL) acceptance letter (VU Bachelor of Business)
    • SPM / SPVM / 'O' level / UEC results or equivalent (Actual / Forecast) **
    • STPM / 'A' level / Matriculation / Foundation or equivalent (Actual / Forecast) & MUET results **
