3. Only selected sports are eligible for the Sunway Sports Scholarship, such as archery, athletics (track & field, javelin, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, discus), badminton, basketball, tenpin bowling, International chess, table tennis, taekwondo (WT), tennis, squash and swimming.

Note: If an applicant’s chosen sport is not part of the list of sports for the Sunway Sports Scholarship, it will then fall under the discretion of the Sunway University/Sunway College (Kuala Lumpur) Scholarship Committee to accept the application and/or to grant an interview.

National Athletes (100%)
State Athletes (50%)

1. National/State Athlete Status Verification letter from Majlis Sukan Negara/Sport Association Board
2. Recommendation letter from the Head Coach
3. List of Sports Involvement & Achievement from Year 2022 - 2023 (kindly submit the certificate of achievement or photo of medal as the supporting document)

2. Only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be informed via a phone call followed by an e-mail.
3. Applicants that are not shortlisted will receive an e-mail communication.

2. Please refer to the General Terms & Conditions that apply to all scholarships
3. KPT (Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi) scholar is not eligible to apply the Sunway Sports Scholarship.
4. The disbursement of Scholarship will be implemented in the second semester of the programme. Any excess amount paid in the first semester will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the programme.
5. The tuition fee deduction for scholars applies as follows:-
   • Australian Matriculation (5 subjects’ tuition fee)
   • A-Levels (3 subjects’ tuition fee)
   • Canadian International Matriculation Programme (6 subjects’ tuition fee)
   • Monash University Foundation Year (8 units’ tuition fee)
   • Sunway Foundation in Arts (6 Core Units, 4 Academic Elective, 3 Enrichment Units)
   • Sunway Foundation in Science & Technology (4 Core Units, 6 Academic Elective, 3 Enrichment Units)
6. Scholars should at least pass with minimum grade required by the respective programme and maintain his/her sports achievement at National/State level.
7. Scholars MUST represent the Institution in MASISWA, SUKIPT and IPT games or any other tournaments as and when required by the Institution.
8. A minimum of 80 hours should be contributed yearly for conducting sports training, workshop, clinical work etc (inclusive of training/ competition hours). Do approach the Sports Advisors at Student LIFE for further details.
9. Recipients are required to submit a copy of the quarterly report to Sunway Sports Unit.
10. The Sports Scholarship is reviewed on a yearly basis. Scholarships can be revoked based on the discretion of the institution.
11. The final decision to grant the scholarship is at the sole discretion of the selection panel.
