1. Candidates must demonstrate consistent track record of leadership roles in extracurricular activities at school or community level. This might include positions in student clubs, volunteer organizations, or other leadership experiences.
2. Candidates should possess good communication skills, self-confidence and thrive on challenges
3. Applicants are expected to meet the following academic criteria:
   1. Cambridge GCE A Level: AAA
   2. Australian Matriculation: ATAR 95
   3. Canadian International Matriculation Programme/SIS Ontario Grade 12: 95%
   4. Monash University Foundation Year: 95% (Best 4 subjects)
   5. Sunway Foundation in Arts/Sunway Foundation in Science and Technology: CGPA 3.95^
   6. Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM): AAA
   7. Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): 8A1
   8. International Baccalaureate: 37
   9. Other Foundation/ Diploma: CGPA 3.95

^ Sunway FIA/ FIST students who have yet receive their official academic transcript may apply with the latest semesters’ examination result.

The scholarship gives a full tuition fee deduction. It also includes undertaking a study visit to complete a credit bearing module (a ‘VU Block Model’ unit) over four (4) weeks at Victoria University, Melbourne in the second year of the programme***.

Costs covered for the study visits are:

1. Accommodation with a Victoria University approved accommodation provider (covered by Victoria University)
2. Return air-fare (economy class) from Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne (covered by Sunway College)

*** In the event that the scholarship recipient is unable to travel at the planned time, due to extenuating and unforeseen circumstances, alternative arrangements will be put in place for the student, upon the approval of Victoria University and Sunway College.

3. Only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be informed via a phone call followed by an e-mail by mid of March (March deadline) and end of August (August deadline).
4. Applicants that are not shortlisted will receive an e-mail communication

1. Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.
2. Offer of scholarship will be made only when Sunway College KL receives the actual results and after an interview has been conducted.
3. The scholarship will be subjected to a review at the end of every semester. A scholar must pass all examinations and maintain high academic standards (70% grade average), failing which the scholarship can be withdrawn.
4. The terms and manner in which the scholarship is disbursed will be decided by Sunway College KL and Victoria University. All decisions made by the joint Sunway University – Victoria University Scholarship Committee are final.
