Need Based Scholarships

1. Malaysian below 25 years old.
2. Family household income below RM 5,000 per month.
3. Minimum 5As in SPM/Minimum CGPA 2.8 in STPM or equivalent.
4. Active in extra-curricular activities.

1. Full tuition fees
2. General fees (excluding Refundable Deposit)

Attach the certified true copy document(s) for the Online Scholarship Application:

• SPM/ STPM certificate or equivalent
• Identity Card
• All results obtained in college including the latest results
• Parents’/ guardian’s latest Income Tax Statement
• Latest 3 consecutive months’ salary slips/ any other proof of income. For retirees, the last drawn pay slip must be enclosed
• Latest EPF Statement
• All extracurricular activities certificates

1. Complete the Online Scholarship Application Form, with the required supporting documents: https://sunway.edu.my/scholarship-app/
2. Scholarship selection interviews will take place in July.
3. Only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be informed via a phone call followed by an e-mail by mid of July.
4. Applicants that are not shortlisted will receive an e-mail communication.

2 weeks after the release of 2023 result

1. Only Malaysian citizens are eligible to apply.
2. Please refer to the General Terms & Conditions that apply to all scholarships
3. Scholars are required to maintain satisfactory academic results throughout the duration of the study.
4. Scholars are required to participate in the Scholars Development Programme (#ScholarsLevelUp).
5. Scholars are required to submit a copy of the academic progress report to the Scholarship Unit at Student LIFE upon the release of results at the end of every semester.

1. Applicant must have obtained at least:
   • 3As in the SPM examination or
   • 2Bs in the STPM examination or
   • 6Bs in the UEC examination
2. Applicant must be below 23 years old as at 31^st December 2023.
3. Applicant must be a Malaysian citizen.
4. Household income must not be more than RM60,000 per annum in 2023.
5. Applicant must meet the course requirements of Sunway.
6. Applicant has not yet commenced his/her course in Sunway.
