Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be enrolled in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme
• Open to C-suite executives from multinational corporations (MNCs) or organisations with a minimum annual turnover of RM10 million

For Doctor of Education (DEd) Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria

• Senior Leadership Standing
• Applicants must hold a senior leadership role with substantial decision-making responsibility in education or a related learning context

• Demonstrated Professional Impact
• Applicants should have a proven and verifiable track record of impact at institutional, system, policy, or community level

• Relevant Doctoral Focus
• Applicant should propose a doctoral study that addresses a significant real-world challenge in education and has the potential to generate meaningful institutional or sectoral impact. The applicant’s profile and leadership standing should also contribute to strengthening the visibility, credibility, and positioning of the Doctor of Education programme and Sunway University.

For Doctor of Computing (DOC) & Doctor of Engineering (DOE) Scholarships
By Invitation Only
The Doctor of Computing (DOC) and Doctor of Engineering (DOE) scholarships are not open for direct application. All candidates are invited by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

• Identified based on distinguished leadership profiles, typically at C-suite level
• Selected based on the track record of impact and professional standing

100% tuition fee deduction (excluding general fees)
 

Certified true copy of the highest academic qualification (A Master’s degree)
Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) detailing scholarly achievements, professional experience, and notable contributions.
 

• Complete the Online Scholarship Application Form, with the required supporting documents: https://sunway.edu.my/scholarship-app/
• Applications will be reviewed based on academic merit, professional experience and contributions (e.g leadership, innovation, impact in the field) 
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview as part of the final selection process.

• 1 April 2026 (for January & April/May* intakes) 
• 24 August 2026 (for September intake)

(*Doctor of Education is having May intake instead of April intake)
 

1. Applicant can be Malaysian or International citizen.
2. Applicable to full-time and part-time students.
3. Applicant can only be entitled for 1 scholarship or bursary at a time whichever is higher.
4. The scholarship will be implemented from the 1st semester of the programme.
