Academic Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following minimum academic qualifications:

1. Diploma Programme: Applicants must have obtain the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a minimum of 5A's.
2. Bachelor's Degree Programme: Applicants must posses one of the following qualifications:
   • A Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.30; or
   • Matriculation with a minimum CGPA of 3.30; or
   • Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum CGPA of 3.30; or
   • Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid Jiddan; or
   • Any other qualification recognised as equivalent to STPM.

Applicants must fulfil the following eligibility requirements:

1. Must be a Malaysian citizen
2. Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application and upon acceptance of the offer
3. Must not exceed 30 years of age upon completition of the Diploma or Bachelor's Degree programme.
4. Must have secured a confirmed offer of admission to a Public Higher Education Institution (IPTA) or Private Higher Education Institution (IPTS) in Malaysia.
5. Open to all students except those in their final year of study.
6. Must be enrolled in afull-time programme of study.
7. Must be pursuing a programme accredited or recoginsed by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Public Service Department (JPA), Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA), Private Education Division, or any other relevant Government of Malaysia autgthority, and approved by the Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR) Board of Trustees.
8. Upon acceptance of the YBR Convertible Education Financing (PPBU YBR) offer, applicants are required to provide two (2) gurarantors:
   • One gurrantor must be the applicant's parent (mother or father); and
   • The second gurrantor must be a Malaysian citizen aged 60 years or below during the application period, who is currently employed and earns a minimum monthly income of RM1,000.
9. Piority will be given to bank Rakyat members (shareholders) and their children.
10. At the time of accepting the offer, applicants must not be receiving any loan, scholarship, or sponsorship from any other organisation or agency for the same level of study (i.e., double sponsorship is not permitted).

Applications submitted manually or in hard copy will not be accepted. Applicants are required to register for a user account on the YBR Application Portal before submitting their application.

The PPBU scholarship amount is provided based on the level of study, as follows:

• Diploma: RM11,000 per year
• Bachelor's Degree: Up to RM12,000 per year

The scholarship funds will be disbursed directly into the sponsored student's Bank Rakyat Savings-i Account. It is the responsibility of each sponsored student to pay the tuition fees to their respective higher education institution.

YBR-PPBU is a Convertible Loan Based on Academic Merit, the loan repayment exemption/reduction after completion of study are based on the final Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as below:
