"I was born and bred in Selangor to a family of five. We have a strong bond and are close to each other. My parents really loved us and made sure my siblings and I got the best they could offer. They continually taught us values like decency, hard-work and advised us to always be honest. When I wanted to pursue my education to the tertiary level, the financial shortage in my family made it difficult for my parents to fund my tertiary education. We got to know about the Jeffery Cheah Community Scholarship through a family friend.

#MySunwayStory began with the realization that there are people out there who care enough to invest in the lives of others to help them. This influenced me to want to do my part in improving the society in the future. If I did not get this scholarship, I would most likely be at another university on possibly an education loan that I would need to work extremely hard to pay off once I start working.

Sunway University has exposed me to people of colourful cultures and backgrounds with a good mixture of local and international students. The campus offers facilities that improve our learning efficiency plus the proximity to Sunway Pyramid allows us to have meals, relax or even just take a breather.

To current and future Sunway students, work hard to reap maximum benefits, ask when unsure and DO NOT procrastinate. Take care of your physical well-being as it adds up to your ability to concentrate and study in the long run."
